Ever felt that none
appreciated one's presence
had little respect for one's opinions
and wondered if one made a difference?

under the same circumstances
if both people did the same thing
a totally different reaction
one's actions would bring?

ever wondered if one's
presence did anything else
but hinder another and what
about one that reaction tells?

Everyone else seems to be
better than one tenfold
suddenly it isnt so bad
succumbing to the cold

to just sleep one's days away
entwined in the brother of death and dreams
the world seemingly a better place without
oneself, it seems.
