friends come and go
fleeting faces
in the journey of life
some stay for a time
some disappear quickly
some dont exist at all.

thinking back
true friends withstand
the test of time
a few being better
than a myriad of
acquaintances


tears may fall
when memories fade
friends leaving
those who
may never come back
letting go is but a part of life
the inevitable choices we make

friendship is but temporal
only Christ stands strong
if no chemistry exists
after some time
with the people you
do not belong

independance is the way to go
the ability to survive alone
without friends to hold you
only yourself
and He who is in you
to keep you strong
