HE. IS,

BEOWULFFFFFFF.

awesome show.

*a little note before i continue.*

RIGHT CLICK IS NOW ENABLED ON MY BLOG. whoopee. now you can tab stuff.

i've been addicted to an "Umbrella" remix by Chris Brown - Cinderella.
the player on my blog's on shuffle, and i've sadly hidden it. so if you do get the song playing, good for you - enjoy some wholesome remixed good ol' R&B. Umbrella's a classic i tell you.

it sounds good - so sue me. percieved "carpet" music or not, it's still good stuff. give it a listen if you will.

the CGI is totally awesome. if one didn't look closely one would expect the movie to be life-action. highly recommended to those ABOVE SIXTEEN. (sorry kiddies, you'll have to miss this one out. =P )

Beowulf is hilarious, and as ben put it - "totally power metal.".. just without the power metal. XD

what "Beowulf" was before it became a movie:

WIKIPEDIA - "Beowulf is an Old English heroic epic poem of anonymous authorship from around AD 700. Its creation is typically assigned by scholars either to the period AD 700–750, or to the time of composition of the only manuscript, circa 1010. At 3183 lines, it is notable for its length. The poem is untitled in the manuscript, but has been known as Beowulf since the early 19th century."

you can find a translated version of Beowulf here.
go read it before you go watch the movie - that is, if you have the patience and understanding to read it through. ;)
Wiki entry here. read to find out more.

i watched Beowulf with jared, isaac, ben, bryan and gab soh...

*Reminiscing post warning - stop reading here if you're allergic to what some people might call mild emo-ing. I call it reminiscing. so there. ;)*

...it's been long since the cavemen went out like this.. certainly brings back the memories.

jared made a point today that struck me much.

memories will always remain memories, and nothing more.
the past will always remain a past.

long gone are the times where we were still 14, "exploring the world", as some call it. ;)
long gone are the times when we were still in room 22 having cell.
long gone are the cavemen.

in its place - new paths cut out for us.
new bridges built.
new friendships forged.
out from the meadow into the wilderness and beyond - this time with new comrades.

side by side, we march as one body. familiar faces, but yet strangely distant after some time.

we may have moved forward from strength to strength..

but never shall we tread into the meadow again.

those were the days.
