the new taxi fare hike is horrendous.
i swear, the meter jumps like SUPER MARIO ON STEROIDS.
i saw the fare go up by 20 cents every half a minute and my pocket felt lighter and lighter.
comfort cabs - avoid at all cost.
2 cab rides costed me 14 bucks when it should have costed me maybe about 8.
the fare is essentially double.. so if one takes a cab with the midnight surcharge, the fare will be $Z x 1.5 x 2.
so a $10 ride would cost near 30 bucks.
HOORAY FOR PROGRESS.

insanity.
eventually they're gonna charge us for every heartbeat, at the rate we're going.




i just remembered a quote from megatron in the 2007 Transformers movie:
"Is it fear or courage that compels you, fleshling?"

this brings much thought into mind.
indeed, is it fear or courage?
does one do something for fear of being slapped with a penalty?
does one do something with the confidence and courage of not being slapped with a penalty?

who knew megatron could be so inspiring?
