Dark Nights

Dark nights
waking dreams
fear blossoming full
moonlight brings silence
mystery
concealment
darkness
in a shining pool

Stars wink overhead, as
sinister plots echo
darkness
of the night
absence
of the morn
only shadows remain
in sight

the wind sighs
a gentle, regretful note
it knows
it sees
and can do nothing more
the light
sorrowful
breeze.

dawn approaches
breaking through dusk
shrugging off its cocoon
as the sun rises
darkness subsides
smiling
knowing
it'll be back soon.

When the Night Sky Sings

Darkness falls
the Moon brings
silence
when the beautiful
night sky sings

Such tranquility
echoing through the night
the world clad in shadow
cast by
an unearthy light

Hardly a noise at all
such silence
this quiet air
only with the moonlight
can this tranquility be
brought to bear
