In the land of Emperium
On the Outskirts of the Endless Plain
There was a quiet town
Unknown for many years it lain

Then a young butcher boy
Set out and made history
A quest for the Legendary Blade
A tale of a great journey

It happened so long ago
The town now recognised throughout
All because of a young butcher boy
And his journey to scale the great Mount

Mount Larry it was called
Few have ever tried
So fraught with danger it was
All who ever quested
Died

A legend there was, however
The legend of an Ancient Blade
Forged by the ancient races of old
With great power it was made

This is the tale of Ian the Rotund
The hero who once a lonely kid
And his quest to gain glory
Which he eventually did.

The Dream

It was all so hazy
i don't know where it began
i was standing there in disbelief
holding her hand

standing by the stairwell
with her face close to mine
i whispered softly
would you be my valentine?

though i touched her cheek
her face was still unknown
i knew not her features
only her voice, and her tone

i traced the contours of her face
which was in full view
yet how much i tried
of it nothing more i knew.

she agreed joyfully
and i tried recognising her speech
it seemed so familiar
yet just out of reach

i drew my face close to hers
in a moment of rare, unspeakable joy
it was then i awoke
a confused, strangely disappointed boy.
